Bota Palace is located in the heart of the Old Town of Dubrovnik, on one of the most beautiful streets called Stradun. Due to its attractive and central location, you will be able to easily navigate within the city walls. It is important to emphasize that the privilege of staying in Bota Palace is that it can be easily reached without stepping on a single step, regardless of whether you come from Pile Gate, the main entrance to the Old Town of Dubrovnik, or from the eastern entrance at Ploče Gate. If you need a shop, there is one right across from the accommodation, just 20 meters away. The famous Dubrovnik beach Banje is a short walk away if you head towards the Gate of Ploče, and if you want to stay within the city walls, you can walk to Porporela, which is only five minutes away from Bota Palace, or to Buža which we recommend for a morning swim and coffee. A bus station and taxi rank are only three minutes away from the accommodation.

Dubrovnik, popularly called the Pearl of the Adriatic, placed in the hand of Saint Blaise, its patron saint, and in 1979 Dubrovnik’s Old Town became a cultural heritage site protected by UNESCO.

The stone from which the Old Town is built, bears the Latin motto of the city NON BENE PRO TOTO LIBERTAS VENDITUR AURO, which means “Liberty is not sold for all the gold in the world”.

The Republic of Dubrovnik has woven its tradition of democracy, diplomacy and modesty into European fabric, and fifteen centuries of Dubrovnik have been preserved in every stone, house, palace and museum. Most of Dubrovnik’s main attractions are located inside the city walls.
